BLS (CPR) Courses

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) is a Heart & Stroke Foundation course that teaches the essential skills needed to recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies. Through hands-on practice and realistic scenarios, participants learn how to provide high-quality CPR, use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and work effectively as part of a resuscitation team.

BLS training is designed for healthcare professionals, first responders, students, and anyone who requires CPR certification for their role.

PREREQUISITE: Complete the BLS online module or successfully pass the prerequisite challenge exam before attending the course.

Nursing students must complete a Heart & Stroke BLS course before beginning clinical practicum. A $10 student discount is available with valid student ID.

BLS Blended Provider

Complete your initial Heart & Stroke Foundation Basic Life Support certification through a flexible blended learning format.

Certification Valid for 1 Year | Cost: $75 + GST + $35 module ($113.75 total)

Initial BLS Certification

Designed for healthcare professionals, first responders, and students.

Blended Learning

Online learning + approximately 2-hour in-person skills session.

Practical Skills Training

Build confidence in CPR, AED use, and team-based resuscitation through instructor-led practice.

BLS Renewal

Renew your Heart & Stroke Foundation Basic Life Support certification through a flexible blended learning format.

Certification Valid for 1 Year | Cost: $80 + GST + $10 prerequisite exam ($94 total)

BLS Recertification

Designed for healthcare professionals whose BLS Provider certification is less than 4 months expired.

Blended Learning

Approximately 3 hours of combined online and in-person learning.

Prerequisite Exam Required

Participants must successfully complete the BLS prerequisite exam before attending class.

Hands-On Skills Practice

Refresh your CPR, AED use, and team-based resuscitation skills through instructor-led practice.
