Basic Life Support (BLS)

Payment Information: Payments made in advance of the course date reserve participants' spaces in class. Payments can be made by etransfer to admin@ACLSABCS.com or via PayPal (additional processing fee applies with PayPal transactions). QuickBooks Online will send receipts to your email within three business days.
CME/CPD Credits & Accreditation:

College of Family Physicians of Canada: eligible for Mainpro+ credits under Certified Activities: CME (1 credit/ hour) or Assessment Activities: Simulation training (2 credits/hour).

Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada: eligible under MOC Section 1 - Group Learning/Resuscitation courses (2 credits/hour) or Section 3 - Assessment -Simulation-based assessments (3 credits/hour).

Other Colleges/Regulatory Bodies: All Heart and Stroke courses are recognized across Canada.

Nursing: ACLS & PALS courses are eligible for a Professional Development education day(s). Some managers may require pre-approval.
Pre-course study materials: Learners will receive access to the members-only section upon payment, where they will have access to pre-course instructions, guideline updates, videos, and other study materials. Alternatively, we can email you the resources.
Privacy policy: ACLS ABCS Inc. collects your name and email for the purpose of registering for current and future Heart and Stroke courses. Reminder emails will be sent when certification is approaching expiration. You may opt out of notifications at any time by emailing admin@aclsabcs.com. ACLS ABCs Inc. will not sell or share any client information.
CANCELLATIONS & COURSE CHANGES
We understand that plans can change. This policy explains the notice periods, fees, refunds, credits, and rebooking options that apply when you cancel or change a course.
1. Registrations cancelled up to 7 calendar days before the course start date will be refunded, less 15% of the course cost.
2. Registrations cancelled with less than 7 calendar days’ notice will not be refunded. The participant may instead apply the course cost to another course. A $40 rebooking fee may apply.
3. Course changes and deferrals must be rebooked within the same calendar year as the originally booked course. If you do not rebook within that calendar year, you will forfeit the deferred amount, and no refund will be issued.
4. Online access keys and pretest fees are non-refundable and are not included in any refund calculation.
COURSE RESCHEDULING
Participants who request to reschedule at least 7 calendar days in advance of their course date may reschedule once at no charge. A second or any further reschedule, or any request made less than 7 calendar days before the course date, is subject to the $40 rebooking fee. All rescheduled courses must be completed within the same calendar year as the originally booked course; otherwise, the course cost will be forfeited, and no refund will be issued.
LAST-MINUTE CANCELLATIONS
If you can’t attend, please email us as soon as possible, ideally before the course start time. Any credit or rebooking option will be considered under the cancellation and rescheduling terms above and remains at our discretion.
NO-SHOWS
Participants who do not attend their scheduled course without prior notice will not automatically be refunded, and the course cost is not automatically deferred or rebooked. If you miss a course, you must contact us within 14 calendar days of the course date; we will not reach out to you. We review requests made within that window on a case-by-case basis, and we're happy to work with you on possible options. After 14 calendar days, we will be unable to make exceptions.
LATE ARRIVALS
Certification requires full attendance; participants arriving more than 15 minutes late will need to rebook, and the applicable rebooking fee applies.
HOW TO CANCEL OR CHANGE A COURSE
Cancellations and course changes must be submitted in writing by emailing admin@aclsabcs.com.
IF WE CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE A COURSE
If we need to cancel or reschedule a course due to low enrollment, instructor availability, or other circumstances beyond our control, you will be offered a full refund or a free transfer to another course date.
REFUNDS
Approved refunds will be issued within 7 business days using the original payment method.
Group or Private classes: Are available in your own clinical environment or in our sim lab teaching space—email admin@ACLSABCs.com for more information on group bookings.
Join our Team: Instructors must have at least 5 years of critical or emergency experience, as well as teaching or simulation facilitation/ debriefing experience. Please send a resume and brief cover letter to admin@ACLSABCS.com to apply for ACLS or PALS instructor roles.
